hooking up of your speakers to the
amplifier(s). Two bi-amplification optionsHFHF
are shown in detail: one stereo-amp (from
Fig. 4) and two stereo-amp (from Fig. 5). LFLF

IMPORTANT:
1.The external "strapping bars"which
normally connect the GHE's HF and LF
terminals MUST BE REMOVED BEFORESTEREO AMP

SPEAKER WITHOUT FIRST REMOVING
THE STRAPPING BARS . Operating two
amplifier channels with the GHE strapping
bars in place can seriously damage the
amplifiers! HF
3.If your preamplifier has just one set of
stereo outputs, you will need to use "Y"LF
cords in the two, three, and four-amp bi-- +
wire hook-ups. "Y" cords are available
from many sources including your JBL
dealer.
4.If you have hooked up your GHEs inSTEREO AMP
any of the bi-wire configurations indicated,
it is not advisable to use additional speak-

ers, either separately or simultaneously.

"CONNECTIONS" section of this manual,
make sure that all speaker cables are the
same length and that you maintain the
"red-to-red" and "black-to-black" connec-
tions between the amps and the speakers.
